In this first issue of the new year, our chair, Catuscia Palamidessi, will present the future of SIGLOG. Then, we shall have a complexity column, written by Amey Bhangale and collected by Andrei Bulatov, on the recent progresses on (in)approximability of various Constraint Satisfaction Problems. Then, the conference coordinator of SIGLOG News, Joost-Pieter Katoen. introduces a report on the 5th Ph.D. School in the series of Foundations of Programming and Software Systems under the title “Probability in Computer Science”, written by Emma Ahrens, Christina Gehnen and Lena Verscht. Finally, we wrap up this number with the latest issue of SIGLOG Monthly, prepared by Elli Anastasiadi.
